Girls Empowerment Night In

Stacey Nolan ‚Äčis a founder of Body Positive Chattanooga and owner of Movement Arts Collective. With a Master's in Education, Stacey has been working with children and teens in varying capacities for the past decade. From working as a classroom teacher and later a youth development specialist, to designing the first Girls Empowerment Camp and teaching movement every summer at Grace Episcopal Arts Camp, her passion for developing the next generation is evident in nearly every project she's involved in. Her focus for empowering and building up the women of tomorrow is fueled by her 8 year old daughter, and her goal to raise a confident and fierce future feminist.

Jas Milam is a working artist and a professional art therapist. She did her undergraduate studies in early childhood development and studio art at Sarah Lawrence College and received her Masters of Art and Art Therapy from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2010.
Jas sees children, teens, adults and couples at her studio/office, DAILY PRACTICE and offers group therapy for adults. Her work with children, teens and adults is informed by years of art making, deep Jungian roots and over 30 years of personal recovery.

Body Positive Chattanooga is excited to offer an entire night of empowerment activities for girls ages 9 - 12.
Our goal: to create a healthy and positive evening allowing young women to feel empowered and strong by finding body love and self appreciation through arts and movement, in a supportive circle of other girls and women.
The evening's activities will include an art class, yoga, bellydance, pizza party, crafts and more!

This camp is LGBTQ friendly and welcoming to any child who identifies as female. 

Evening Activities:

-Welcome circle

-Art experience facilitated by a licensed Art Therapist.

-Bellydance class

-Bedtime Yoga

-body positive crafts 

-morning self-affirmations


Camp is facilitated by Board Members of Body Positive Chattanooga.
